St Paul's Church is the only church in Sandgate and provides a range of services. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday morning at 8am using the Common Prayer version of the service. At 10.30am there is the main Sunday worship, on the 1st Sunday of the month there is a Sunday Praise Service designed to appeal to children as well as adults. On the 2nd Sunday of the month the emphasis of the Communion Service is on the healing ministry and there is an opportunity of anointing with oil during this service. On the 3rd Sunday of the month we have Morning Prayer and on the 4th Sunday Holy Communion and when there is a 5th Sunday this again is Morning Prayer. At all services there is an opportunity during the final hymn for the laying on of hands for those who wish it, this takes place in the side chapel.
At the conclusion of the main 10.30 service coffee and refreshments are provided and this gives an opportunity for both the regular congregation and any visitors to get to know each other. Evening worship is provided on the 1st Sunday of the month at 6pm and is normally Evening Prayer, and on the other Sundays of the month we share Evening Prayer with St. George's in Audley Road.
During the week Morning Prayer is said in church with a small congregation at 8.30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Wednesday night at 6.30pm there is a regular prayer meeting for the work of St. Paul's. You can be assured of a warm welcome should you decide to visit us for any of these services.
