Friends of the Music

Holy Trinity Church was built to the design of Ewan Christian and is highly regarded as a prime example of Victorian Gothic architecture.

From the time of the dedication of the church, an important aspect of the local press was the musical detail of the services at Holy Trinity. These reports clearly show the high musical standards of the services regularly sung by the choir. Services from Holy Trinity have been broadcast on radio and television.

Holy Trinity cannot maintain this standard without a large outlay. The church gives considerable assistance while the large congregations show how deeply they appreciate the beauty of the services. However, some additional means are necessary to help church funds and it was with this in mind that the Friends of the Music was founded in 1983, to support the many and varied musical activities within the church.

The Friends also organise, support and underwrite the annual series of summer organ recitals, concerts and other musical events at Holy Trinity.
